IHGS Parish Maps
The Maps are POST FREE in the UK The Institute produces a series of maps covering every county of England, Wales and Scotland giving the name of each parish, showing parochial boundaries, probate jurisdiction in colour and the dates of the commencement of registers. Size approx 17" x 14". Yorkshire is in four maps: North Riding; East Riding; West Riding A (Rural area north of Bradford and Leeds); West Riding B (Industrial area including Bradford, Leeds, Huddersfield, Halifax and Sheffield) Lincolnshire is in two maps: Lincolnshire A (Lindsey); Lincolnshire B (Kesteven and Holland) Wales is in three maps: North Wales (Anglesey, Caernarvon, Denbigh, Flint); Central Wales (Merioneth, Montgomery, Cardigan, Radnor); South Wales (Pembroke, Carmarthen, Brecon, Glamorgan) The City of London is overprinted with streets. The Scottish counties are divided into ten maps: 1-Orkney and Shetland 2-Sutherland and Caithness 3-Ross and Cromarty 4-Inverness; mainland and Harris 5-NE Scotland: Nairn, Elgin, Banff. Aberdeen, Kincardine 6-W Inverness and N Argyll 7-Perthshire and adjoining counties: Perth, Forfar, Clackmannan, Kinross and Fife 8-S Argyll and adjoining counties: Greater part of Argyll with Stirling, Dumbarton and Renfrew 9- SW Scotland: Wigtown, Ayr, Kirkcudbright, Bute and Lanark 10-The Lothians and SE Lowlands: Dumfries, Peebles, Selkirk, Roxborough, Linlithgow, Edinburgh, Haddington, Berwick
